Dirk Meurer has years of experience in the international investment industry. In 1996, he became an investment manager at Deutsche Beteiligungsgesellschaft, a leading private equity organization that focuses on management buy-outs and growth financing. In 1997 he joined Deutsche Venture Capital (part of the Deutsche Bank Group) and was a partner there until 2004, with responsibility for investments in rapidly growing, international technology companies. From 2005 to 2007, Dirk Meurer managed an extensive emerging markets investment portfolio at the Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft, one of the largest development finance institutions in the world. He was appointed Managing Director of Vorwerk Direct Selling Ventures GmbH in 2007.

Dirk Meurer holds an MBA from European Business School (ebs), Schloss Reichartshausen.
